ELDERSBURG, MD--Memorial services for Robert "Bob" Joseph French, 68, of Greencastle, Penn., formerly of Massena, will be held Saturday at noon at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home and Monument Company, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, Md., with the Rev. David Olsen officiating. Burial will be private.

Calling hours will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Mr. French died unexpectedly Tuesday (Jan. 21, 2003) at his home.

He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Kenneth R. and Tracey French of Reistertown, and David J. and Jane French of Sykesville; brothers Richard, Philip and Gary French, all of Syracuse; a sister Mary Lou Bowman of Syracuse; and five grandchildren.

He was predeceased by sisters Norma Durham and Joan Mellon.

Mr. French was born on Aug. 3, 1934 in Massena, the son of the late Leo and Irene Tyo French.

He was a Navy veteran, and was a retired equipment salesman for the automotive industry.

He enjoyed spending time at Penn-Mar Park.
