POTSDAM--A spring memorial service will be held for Emmagene N. Goodsell, 92, formerly of Potsdam. Burial will be in the family plot in Fairview Cemetery, Potsdam.
Arrangements are with Seymour Funeral Home.
Mrs. Goodsell died Saturday at Highland Nursing Home, Massena, where she had been a resident since 2003. She had previously resided at Baldwin Acres in Norwood.
Born Sept. 19, 1913, in Potsdam, daughter of Edward and Mary Oliver Redmond, she attended North Lawrence School and graduated from Parishville High School.
She married Melvin B. Ross in 1932 in Buffalo, The marriage ended in divorce.
She married Charles Goodsell in 1951. They lived for several years in Niagara Falls before returning to Potsdam. He died before her.
Mrs. Goodsell was a former member of the Potsdam Moose Lodge.
Surviving are several cousins.
A son, Melvin B. Ross Jr., and a daughter, Mary Lou Smith-OBrien, died before her.
