Robert D. Hann

 

(October 11, 1950--December 6, 1997)

 

Funeral services for Robert D. Hann, 47, of Coventry Road in East Syracuse and a native of Potsdam, will be held at noon on Thursday at the Krueger Funeral Home in Mattydale, with the Rev. Mary Drake officiating. Burial will be in North Syracuse Cemetery.

 Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

 Mr. Hann died Saturday (Dec. 6, 1997) following a sudden illness.

 He is survived by his wife, Sharon; his mother, Loretta Hann of Norwood; one daughter, Christina Hann of Camillus; one son, Robert Hann of Camillus; three step-daughters Kelly Smith of Mattydale, Mickie Laing of Nashville, Tenn. and Karen Laing of East Syracuse; one step-son, Kevin Laing of Atlanta, Ga.; one brother, Richard Hann of Massena; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

 Mr. Hann was born October 11, 1950 in Potsdam, the son of Richard and Loretta (Christopher) Hann. He graduated from SUNY Potsdam in 1973 with a Bachelor's degree in computer science.

 He was employed at the Penn Traffic Co. for the past 2 1/2 years as a computer analyst.

 Mr. Hann was a member of the Minoa Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Alumni Association of SUNY Potsdam. He was a former member of the Kiwanis Club of Norwood. He was an avid golfer and skier.
