Groundskeeper

NORWOOD--Paul Frederick Hatline, 81, of 3066 County Route 47, died Tuesday evening at Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Potsdam.

 Mr. Hatline was employed by Ray Gas Co., Gouverneur, and was a groundskeeper at St. Lawrence University, Canton, until his retirement.

 Born Dec. 12, 1918, in Clayton, son of Ross and Josephine Schnauber Hatline, he attended Evans Mills schools. He married Marion Alice Jones on Oct. 20, 1953, in Sennett Federated Church with the Rev. Ward H. Crawford officiating.

 He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge, Potsdam, and Barney Pond Hunting and Fishing Club, South Colton.

 Surviving besides his wife are three daughters, Mrs. Donald (Anne) Norman, Lisbon, Mrs. Channy (Susan) Planty, Rensselaer Falls, and Mrs. James (Mary-Lou) Matthews, Canton; a sister, Sarah P. Hatline, Gouverneur, and five grandchildren.

 A brother, George, and a sister, Irene Hatline, died before him.

 A graveside service will be in Hailesboro Cemetery at a later date.

 There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with Buck Funeral Home.

 Donations may be made to Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley.
