Maintenance Worker
(February 27, 1921--July 3, 2000)
NORWOOD--The funeral for Clyde M. Hollinger, 79, of 57 Park St., will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Andrew's Church with the Rev. Paul Worczak, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Colton.
Mr. Hollinger died Monday morning at his home.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Buck Funeral Home.
He served with the Army Air Corps during World War II and was employed in the maintenance department at Reynolds Metals Corp., Massena, until his retirement in 1983.
Born Feb. 27, 1921, in Potsdam, son of Ernest and Della Murray Hollinger, he married Helen C. Hayes on Jan. 8, 1951, at St. Andrew's Church with the Rev. Francis McGuire officiating.
He was a communicant of St. Andrew's Church.
Surviving besides his wife are three daughters and their husbands, Penney and Ronald Clark, Norwood, Lorraine and Gary Gowing, Colton, and Nancy and John Portlock, Smithfield, Va.; a sister, Gloria Penny, Hewitville, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Three brothers, Nile, Jack and Leon died before him.
