NORWOOD--Helen C. Hollinger, 78, formerly of Norwood, died Sunday at United Helpers Canton Nursing Home.

Mrs. Hollinger was a homemaker and a communicant of St. Andrew’s Church.

Born Feb. 9, 1927, in Potsdam, daughter of Fred and Hilda Hunter Hayes, she married Clyde M. Hollinger on Jan. 8, 1951, at St. Andrew’s Church with the Rev. Francis McGuire officiating. Mr. Hollinger died July 3, 2000.

Surviving are three daughters and their husbands, Penny Lou and Ronald Clark, Norwood, Lorraine and Gary Gowing, Colton, and Nancy and John Portlock, Smithfield, Va., 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Andrew’s Church with Monsignor Harry K. Snow, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Colton.

Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Buck Funeral Home, Norwood.
