(December 12, 1811-January 8, 1919)
Michael Hurley, aged 107 years, died at his home near Norwood, Wednesday morning, Jan. 8. Death was due to natural causes. Mr. Hurley, who was probably the oldest man in the North Country, was very active until a few days before his death. He was born in the County Cork, Ireland, Dec. 12, 1811. The funeral took place from St. Marys Church, Potsdam, Friday. Me. Hurley was known to remark many times in a jocular way that you couldnt kill a Corkonian.
