NORWOOD--Myrtle E. Irvine, 92, Mayfield Apartments, Potsdam, formerly of Norwood, died Thursday morning in Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Potsdam.

 Mrs. Irvine was a homemaker.

 Born Dec. 30, 1905, in Algonquin, Ontario, a daughter of Andrew H. and Winifred Todd Dawson, she married Elmer Irvine on June 27, 1923. He died Jan. 6, 1971.

 She was a communicant of St. Phillips's Church and a member of Lyra Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star.

 Surviving are a son, Oland, Elmira; a daughter, Jean Butler, Potsdam; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

 Three sons, Ivan, Ross and Frederick, and a grandson died before her.

 The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Buck Funeral Home with the Rev. Curtis Denney officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Massena.

 Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

 Contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
