Henry Lamanna

Navy Veteran, Salesman

 

(July 15, 1928--December 6, 1999)

 

NORWOOD--Henry Lamanna, 71, Deerfield Road, Syracuse, formerly of Norwood, died Monday in Crouse Hospital, Syracuse.

 Mr. Lamanna served with the Navy and was a salesman with several companies, including 15 years with Fantasy Pool Co., Buffalo, retiring in 1998.

 Born July 15, 1928, in Norwood, a son of Frank and Nancy Conese Lamanna, he was a 1945 graduate of Norwood High School and married Dorothy Franklin.

 He was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks lodge in Madison and Cue Club in Syracuse.

 Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Steven, Minoa, and Mark, New York City; a daughter, Lynn Marie Marechek, Minoa; a stepson, James Rowe, Liverpool; three stepdaughters, Patricia Hunt, Liverpool, Susie Schellman, Jamesville, and Dale Delota, Utica; a sister, Constance Ahlfeld, Massena; 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

 Two brothers, Eustace "Jake" and Joseph A., and a sister, Theresa Garafola, died before him.

 The funeral will be at 8:30 a.m. Thursday at Forani & Cline Funeral Home, East Syracuse, and 9 a.m. at St. Matthew's Church, East Syracuse. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.

 Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the Rescue Mission Alliance, 120 Gifford St., Syracuse, N.Y. 13202.
