NORWOOD--Margaret A. Lapinskas, 89, formerly of Norwood and Massena, died Sunday morning at United Helpers Canton Nursing Home, where she had been a resident since 1997.

Mrs. Lapinskas was a clerk at B. Altman Department Store, White Plains, and later clerked at Kaplan’s Department Store in Massena.

Born Aug. 8, 1916, in Deferiet, daughter of George F. and Hermina Stucz Molnar, she attended schools in Norwood.

She married J. Donald Cline on Feb. 28, 1933, in Norwood. The marriage ended in divorce in 1952, and Mr. Cline died Oct. 3, 1966.

She later married Andrew Lapinskas in Yonkers. Mr. Lapinskas, a pipe fitter and plumber who worked in White Plains, retired in 1983 and died Feb. 15, 1986.

Surviving are two sons and their wives, Gerald and Colette Cline, Southport, N.C., and Richard and Georgia Cline, Waynesboro, Pa.; two brothers, George Molnar, Sun City, Fla., and Albert Molnar, Phoenix, Ariz.; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A spring graveside service will be held in Visitation Cemetery, Norfolk.

There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with Buck Funeral Home, Norwood.
