Earlene Mackey

NORWOOD--Earlene Mackey, 69, Baldwin Acres, died Tuesday in Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Potsdam.

 Mrs. Mackey was employed by Potsdam State University College and was a co-owner of Mackey's Tavern, Mechanic Street, where she was a cook.

 Born July 6, 1928, in Fillmore, Utah, a daughter of Norman and Jeanette Dinges Turner, she married James E. Mackey on Nov. 22, 1952. He died Feb. 4, 1994.

 She was a member of PotsdamVeterans of Foreign Wars Post Auxiliary and Norwood American Legion Post Auxiliary and enjoyed crocheting and flower gardening.

 Surviving are a son, Duane M. Hicken, Norwood; three daughters, Mrs. Reid (Kathleen) Graham, Mrs. Robert (Darlene) Emlaw and Frances S. Babcock, all of Norwood; nine grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

 There will be no funeral. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Potsdam.

 Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. today at Buck Funeral Home.
