The death of Miss Esther Maloney of Norwood occurred Saturday night in New York City where she had taught in the public schools for some years.

Miss Maloney had been in poor health for several months but had been able to work up to within a few days of her death.

She was born in Norwood, daughter of the late Mr. And Mrs. Patrick Maloney. She was educated in Norwood schools graduating from Norwood High School and later from the Potsdam Normal School.

She went to New York to teach soon after graduation and had been a teacher there since.
