(May 6, 1909--November 26, 1999)

MALONE--Rosamond P. Mason, 90, Delray Beach, Fla., formerly of Malone and Plattsburg, died Nov. 26 at Bethesda Memorial Hospital, Boynton Beach, Fla.

 Mrs. Mason was a corporate secretary at Mason Dodge dealerships in Malone and Plattsburgh. She was secretary to the dean of women at St. Lawrence University, Canton, until 1934.

 Born May 6, 1909, in Norwood, daughter of Dr. Sidney and Anna Maud Ashley Phelps, she was educated in Norwood schools and graduated from St. Joseph's Ursuline Academy, Malone, and Katherine Gibbs School, Boston, Mass.

 She married Frederic E. Mason on Nov. 10, 1934 in Potsdam. He died Jan. 9, 1964.

 Mrs. Mason was known to her family as "RaRa" and to her friends as "Rozie." She was an amateur golf champion of Florida, the women's club champion at Malone Golf and Country Club, and an accomplished horsewoman.

She spent summers with her family in Northern New York.

 Surviving are a son, Ernest P., Plattsburgh; a brother, Sidney Phelps,Fairview, N.C., two grandsons and several nieces and nephews.

 A memorial service will be held at a later date in St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Malone.

 Arrangements are with Lorne & Sons Funeral Home, Delray Beach.
