NORWOOD--Funeral services for Geraldine F. McCormick, 84, of United Helpers Nursing Home, Ogdensburg, and formerly of Norwood, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Andrew’s Church, Norwood, with Monsignor Harry K. Snow officiating. Burial will be in Hale Cemetery, Norfolk.

Arrangements are with the Buck Funeral Home, Norwood.

Mrs. McCormick died Friday evening (June 24, 2005) at the nursing home.

She is survived by two daughters, Joan and Lynn Henry, Parishville, and Diane and Robert Raines, Waddington; two stepsons, Randy McCormick, Brasher Falls, and Richard McCormick and his wife, Alice, Liverpool; a stepdaughter, Kathleen McCormick, Connecticut; two grandsons, Rob Henry and his wife, Cassie, Ithaca, and Mark Henry, Parishville; two granddaughters, Kristin and Craig Campbell, Williamson, and Melissa and Jon Mayette, Waddington; a great-grandson, Cole Campbell, Williamson; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. McCormick was predeceased by a brother, Robert.

She was born April 3, 1921, in Norwood, the daughter of Lawrence and Lulu Smith.

She married Hugh Murphy on Aug. 12, 1942. He predeceased her on Oct. 19, 1970.

She then married Daniel McCormick on Nov. 23, 1974. He predeceased her on Feb. 18, 1980.

Mrs. McCormick worked for Drew Insurance Agency in Norwood as a secretary until she retired in 1984. She was a member of the St. Andrew’s Altar and Rosary Society, the Norwood American Legion Auxiliary, and the Potsdam Hospital Guild, and was a board member of the Norwood Historical Society.

Memorial donations may be made to the United Helpers Nursing Home, Unit 1, Ogdensburg.
