NORWOOD--The funeral for Pauline J. McCready, 93, Baldwin Acres, formerly of Willard Road, Louisville, and Main Street, Massena, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, with the Rev. David A. VanEpps officiating. Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery, Malone.
Mrs. McCready died at 10:16 a.m. Tuesday in Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Potsdam, where she had been a patient since Sunday. She had been ill for a year.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
She was a nurse's aide in Oxford, and she and her husband, Lee, owned and operated a paint store on Main Street for 20 years.
Born April 10, 1905, in Dickinson Corners, Ontario, daughter of Andrew and Lena Ault Jackson, she attended schools in Canada. She married Lee A. McCready on Jan. 19, 1929, in Ogdensburg. He died April 25, 1983.
She was a member of the First Congregational Church and enjoyed reading and gardening. Mr. and Mrs. McCready had spent several winters in Orange City, Fla.
Surviving are two brothers, William Jackson, Brockville, Ontario, and Wallace Jackson, New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; three sisters, Nelda Elliott, Brockville, Ontario, Isabel Fritch, Vancouver, British Columbia, and Kay Dalton, Victoria, British Columbia, and several nieces and nephews.
Seven brothers and sisters died before her.
