POTSDAM--George Finnamore McLennan Jr., 89, Fairfield Glade, Tenn., formerly of Potsdam, died Monday at his home.

 Mr. McLennan was an office manager at Nekoosa-Edwards Paper Corp.

 He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Fall Island; High Noon, What Cheer Masonic Lodge 689, Norwood, and Fairfield Glade Lions Club.

 Born Aug. 5, 1912, in Norwood, he was a son of George F. Sr. and Hallie Finnamore McLennan.

 He married Glendora M. Gonyeau in 1933 at Norwood. She died June 21, 1955. He later married Peggy Jean Carpenter.

 Surviving besides his wife, a former associate professor at the Crane School of Music, are four sons, Ronald, Alexandria Bay, Darrell, St. Louis, Mo., Donald, Kernersville, N.C., and Walter, Potsdam; a daughter, Myrna Robertson, Albany, 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

 A private service will be Feb. 2 at the family’s home. Burial will be in Fairfield Glade Community Church Columbarium.

 Arrangements are with Hood Funeral Home, Crossville, Tenn.
