Frank G. Mott, 86, of Manchester, loving husband of Gwen (Sessions) Mott, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2007, at Manchester Memorial Hospital.
Frank was born August 20, 1921, in Norwood, N. Y., son of the late Frank and Hilda (Smith) Mott, and had resided in Manchester since 1953. He was a veteran of WW II, serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps. Frank was employed as a machinist with Pratt & Whitney Aircraft and, later, for over 25 years with Windsor Manufacturing. He was a longtime member of South United Methodist Church in Manchester and a member of the church's men's group. He was also a member and former treasurer of the Full Gospel Businessmen's Association.
Besides his wife, Gwen, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Eric P. Mott and Doris M. Burns of Manchester; his daughter-in-law, Jill M. Mott of Hebron; five beloved grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Frank was predeceased by his two sons, James F. Mott and Thomas R. Mott.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 29, 2007, at 10 a.m. in South United Methodist Church, 1208 Main St., Manchester. Burial will follow in East Cemetery, Manchester.
Calling hours will be Sunday, October 28, 3 to 5 p.m. at Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St., Manchester.
