Mrs. Agnes L. Olds, Former Canton Resident, Dies At Norwood

 

(August 18, 1899-March 17, 1936)

 

Mrs. Agnes Lorena Olds, wife of Fred M. Olds, died Tuesday evening last at Norwood following an illness of two weeks with scarlet fever. Funeral service was conducted Thursday afternoon at the home at Norwood, and interment was made at Fairview Cemetery, Canton.

Mrs. Olds was born in West Stockholm Aug. 18, 1899, a daughter of Wally M. and Rose Wyman Cook. Her early life was spent in that section and in 1922 she was married to Mr. Olds. For about eight years she was employed as a telegraph operator for the New York Central lines in Canton.

Besides her husband, she leaves one son, Robert, age eleven years.

The Olds family owned and occupied a home on Lincoln Street while residents of this village. This was placed on the market two or three years ago when they removed to Norwood, following a transfer from the local station.
