POTSDAM--Dominick "Frank" Penny, 81, formerly of Barker Road, died Tuesday at United Helpers Canton Nursing Home.

Mr. Penny was employed with Nekoosa Edwards Paper Mill and with the town of Potsdam until his retirement.

Born July 21, 1923, in Norwood, son of John and Josephine Refici Penny, he attended schools in Norwood. He married Gloria Hollinger on March 3, 1973.

He was an exempt member of the Norwood Volunteer Fire Department.

Surviving besides his wife are a stepson and his wife, Robert and Pamela MacDonald, Potsdam; a stepdaughter and her husband, Judy and David Jackman, Massena; a brother, Frank L., Norwood, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Three sisters, Elizabeth Theologos, Mary Oddi and Rose Soilleau, died before him.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Garner Funeral Home with the Rev. Edward E. Papp officiating. Burial will be in Hewittville Cemetery.

Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home
