Receptionist, secretary

NORFOLK--Virginia Connie Richards, 93, or 3 High St., Apt. 23, died Wednesday morning at Massena Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Richards was a receptionist and secretary for Van Ness Co., Potsdam.

She was a communicant of the Church of the Visitation and a member of its Altar and Rosary Society.

Born Dec. 6, 1910, in Norfolk, daughter of Cecile L. and Ethel Edgar Clary, she graduated from Norwood High School and attended Burlington (Vt.) Business School.

She married Michael B. Lynch on June 10, 1935, in Norfolk with the Rev. J.J. Kelly officiating. Mr. Lynch, superintendent and co-owner of a cheese factory in Westville, died of electrocution July 7, 1939.

On July 27, 1942, she married Donald "Fred" Richards in Norfolk. Mr. Richards died Feb. 25, 1977.

Surviving are three sons, Philip Lynch and his companion, Phyllis Merkley, Norfolk, Donald and his wife, Lida Richards, Norwood, and David and his wife, Darlena Richards, Springport, Mich.; a brother, Carl Clary, Virginia; a sister, Emorita Price, Norfolk, nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Two brothers, Francis and Edgar Clary, died before her.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Church of the Visitation with the Rev. Andrew Amyot, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Brasher Falls.

Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Buck Funeral Home.
