POTSDAM--Gloria J. Rogers, 78, Cortland, formerly o Potsdam, died Wednesday at Cortland Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Rogers owned and operated Rogers Realty in Potsdam until moving in 1986 to Cortland. She worked at Phillips Free Library in Homer.

Born Dec. 14, 1926, in Norwood, daughter of Ernest J. and Aletha V. Collop Scott, she married Robert F. Rogers On Jan. 20, 1947. He died Sept. 26, 1987.

She was former vice president of the Realtors’ board and was active with the Potsdam Junior Hockey Association when she lived in Potsdam. She enjoyed camping.

Surviving are a daughter, JoAnn Beston, Binghamton; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert, Syracuse, and Richard and Denise, Henderson; a sister, Joan Scott, Colton, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Two brother, Wendell and Reginald Scott, died before her.

A private graveside service will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Homer.

There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with Donald L. Barber Funeral Home, Homer.
