NORWOOD--Viola M. Russell, 86, formerly of 9 Mechanic St., died Tuesday at Glens Falls Hospital, where she had been patient since Nov. 12.

Miss Russell, a resident of Indian River Nursing Home, Granville, previously lived in Greenwich for 30 years.

Born March 2, 1917, in Dickinson, she was a daughter of Gilbert and Blanche Campbell Russell.

She worked at Sherwood Medical, Argyle, for many years, retiring several years ago.

Surviving are a brother, David Russell, Poteau, Okla., and several nieces and nephews.

Three brothers, Joseph, William and Sylvester Russell, and four sisters, Gladys Miles, Mildred Woods and two infants, died before her.

The funeral will be private. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Dickinson.

There are no calling hours. Arrangements are with Anderson Funeral Home, St. Regis Falls.
