NORWOOD--Lillian Sawyer, 97, of 54 Spring St., died Thursday at Community Nursing Home, Potsdam, where she had been a resident since Nov. 2.

 The funeral was scheduled for 10:30 a.m. today at Buck Funeral Home. A spring memorial service will be at St. Andrew’s Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Brushton.

 Donations may be made to St. Andrew’s Church or Potsdam Volunteer Rescue Squad.

NORWOOD--A memorial Mass for Lillian Oakes Sawyer, 97, of 54 Spring St., will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Andrew’s Church with the Rev. Paul Worczak, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Brushton.

 Mrs. Sawyer died Feb. 14 in Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Potsdam.

 Arrangements are with Buck Funeral Home, Norwood.

 Born Nov. 23, 1904, in Brushton, she married Edward A. Sawyer on Nov. 30, 1933, in Malone, He died Aug. 14, 1979.

 Surviving are a son and his wife, Lloyd "Buzz" and Altha, Norwood; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.
