NORFOLK--Debra F. Shepard, 53, of 59 S. Main St., died of complications of surgery Sunday afternoon at Adirondack Medical Center, Saranac Lake.

Mrs. Shepard was a homemaker.

Born Oct. 16, 1951, in Potsdam, daughter of Wyman and Elva Pratt McDonald, she attended Norwood-Norfolk Central School.

She married Donald W. Shepard Jr. on Dec. 5, 1970, in the First United Methodist Church, Norwood, with the Rev. M. Russell Lee, then pastor, officiating.

Surviving besides her husband are a son and his wife, Steven and Christin, Aberdeen, Md.; two brothers, Darrel McDonald, Norfolk, and Allen McDonald, LaFayette; a sister, Gayle Maxin, Norwood, and two grandchildren.

A prayer service will be at 8 p.m. Thursday at Buck Funeral Home, Norfolk.

Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
