SOUTH COLTON--Constance G. Shoen, 60, of 69 Coldbrook Drive, died Tuesday morning in Fletcher Allen Health Care, Burlington, Vt.

Mrs. Shoen was a registered nurse in the coronary care unit at Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Potsdam, retiring in 1993.

She was a member of the New York State Nurses Association.

Born Feb. 27, 1943 in Waddington, daughter of Nelson and Gloria Rookey Currier, she graduated from Madrid-Waddington Central School, Madrid, in 1960 and from the former House of the Good Samaritan School of Nursing, Watertown.

She married Donald Shoen on July 20, 1963, at First Methodist Church, Waddington.

Surviving besides her husband are two sons and a daughter-in-law, David, Elmira, and Duane and Michelle, Brooktondale; a daughter, Carolyn Shoen, Syracuse; two brothers, Nelson Currier, Port Orford, Ore., and Joseph Currier, Massena; a sister, Carol Currier, Waddington, and two grandchildren.

A son, John F., and a daughter, Terri L., died before her.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Colton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Pat Lennox officiating. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Waddington.

Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Buck Funeral Home.
