Alcoa retiree

NORWOOD--Harvey R. Spoor, 92, of 1542 River Road, died Friday at his home.
Mr. Spoor was employed for 32 years at Alcoa, Massena, retiring in 1975.
Born March 24, 1913, in Ellenburg Depot, he was a son of Byron and Mary Willett Spoor.
He married Harriet Magoon Nov. 30, 1940. She died Jan. 16, 1999.
Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Frank Lippolis, Floral City, Fla., Beverly and Ken Wilson, Cornwall, Ontario, and Susan and Jeff Richards, Norwood; a son and his wife, Allan and Joeanne Spoor, Millers Tavern, Va.; a sister, Beaulah Covey, Madison; a sister-in-law, Lena Spoor, Tupper Lake; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Five sisters, Tillie Dominy, Addie Nichols, Viola Derousia, Flossie and Dora Spoor, and seven brothers, Asel, Frank, Paul, Charles, Gib, Ralph, and Fred, died before him.
A funeral will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at E.F. Drown Funeral Home, Ellenburg Depot, with deacon John Levison officiating. Entombment will be in Whispering Maples Memorial Gardens, Ellenburg Depot.
Calling hours will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday at E.F. Drown Funeral Home. Arrangements are with Buck Funeral Home.
