NORWOOD--Funeral services for J. Carl Sullivan, 69, of 7328 State Highway 56, Norwood, will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Church of t he Visitation in Norfolk with the Rev. Andrew Amyot presiding. Burial will be in Visitation Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk.
Mr. Sullivan died Thursday (July 3, 2003) at Canton-Potsdam Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Christine of Norwood; two sons, Joseph and Mimi of Virginia, Shawn and Kelly of Detroit, Mich.; two daughters, Mrs. Drew (Heidi) Liscomb of Nassau and Jamie Sullivan of Waddington; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild, and two sisters, Mrs. (Jack) Barbara LaValley of Plattsburgh and Judy Sullivan of New Orleans.
He was predeceased by a brother, David.
He was born May 21, 1934 in Gorham, N.H., the son of John and Bernadette (Vachon) Sullivan.
He married Christine M. Paige on Aug. 19, 1988.
He worked as a general manager for North Country Adirondack Insurance Company and for Norwood-Norfolk Central School as a high school vocal teacher and assistant principal.
He was a past member of the Potsdam Elks Lodge and a current member of the Norwood American Legion.
He loved music and was an avid musician for local functions and clubs. He served in the U.S. Army.
