COLTON--Herman Trivilino, 91, of 42 Gulf Road, died Monday morning at Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Potsdam, where he had been a patient since May 25.
Mr. Trivilino was a chief operator of hydro and substations in Ogdensburg for Niagara Mohawk Power Corp., retiring in 1975 with 40 years of service.
Born Oct. 20, 1913, in Gouverneur, son of Umberto and Francesca Forgione Trivilino, who immigrated from Italy in 1910, he attended Norwood High School.
He married Rose Demeter on Aug. 12, 1940, at the Church of the Visitation, Norfolk, with the Rev. Albert J. Farrell officiating.
He was a member of elks Lodge 258, Ogdensburg, the Eagles Club and Moose Lodge in Florida and Niagara Mohawk Retirees Club, past president of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers union and a member of the Azure Mountain Hunting Club since 1942. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Surviving besides his wife are four sons and their wives, Philip and Brenda and Joseph and Kim, all of Ogdensburg, Herman and Donna, Humble, Texas, and Peter and Mary, Schenectady; six daughters and two sons-in-law, Mary Hatch, Boothbay Harbor, Maine, Anne and Thomas Morley, Macedon, Carol and Greg Olmsted, Gloversville, Jean Demeter, Albion, Calif., Martha Troyer, Greencastle, Ind., and Joan Trivilino, Colton and a brother, Richard, Norwood.
A brother, Paul, and a sister, Giovina "Juvy" Hughes, died before him.
A funeral Mass will be said at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Patricks Church with the Rev. Raymond Moreau, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Marys Cemetery, Ogdensburg.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Buck Funeral Home, Colton.
Donations may be made to St. Patricks Church or Hospice & Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley.
