Papermaker

NORFOLK--Kenneth Washburn, 90, of 60 W. Main St., died Friday evening at his home.
Mr. Washburn was a papermaker at Nekoosa-Edwards Paper Mill for 38 years.
Born Oct. 8, 1911, at Palmer Falls, he was a son of Frank and Mary Gaylor Washburn.
He married Gwendolyn Hawver on Sept. 6, 1937, in St. Marys rectory, Potsdam, with the Rev. Timothy J. Mahoney, then pastor, officiating. Mrs. Washburn died Jan. 10, 1970.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Gaile) Colbert, Norwood, seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A son, Wayne, died in 1990. A brother, Charles, and a sister, Sylvia Steinburg, also died before him.
The funeral will be at noon Monday at Buck Funeral Home, Norwood, with Genevieve Dox officiating. Burial will be in Visitation Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to noon Monday at the funeral home.
