Maintenance Worker

NORWOOD--Clarence A. "Willie" Woodard, 50, formerly of Norwood, died of a brain tumor Tuesday at Community Nursing Home, Potsdam.

 Mr. Woodard was employed by the Calvary Cemetery Association for two years, was a bus driver for Norwood-Norfolk Central School for two years, was employed by Aeolian Piano Factory, East Rochester, for a year and was employed in the maintenance department at Norwood-Norfolk Central School until retiring because of disability in April, after 22 years.

 Born Dec. 27, 1951, in Raymondville, son of Charles and Viola Adams Woodard, he was a 1970 graduate of Norwood-Norfolk Central School. He married Elizabeth Deshane on Aug. 16, 1980, at St. Andrew’s Church.

 He was a member of Knapps Station Community Church.

 Surviving besides his wife and his mother, Viola McGee of Norfolk, are two brothers, Merle, Manchester, and Arthur, Norfolk.

 His father and a brother, Floyd, died before him.

 The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Knapps Station Community Church. Burial will be in Hale Cemetery, Knapps Station.

 Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Garner Funeral Home, Potsdam. Donations may be made to Knapps Station Community Church, P.O. Box 54, Norwood, N.Y. 13668.
