Therapy aide

POTSDAM--Carol J. Wood, 56, of 10 Madrid Ave., died of complications of diabetes Tuesday morning at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center, Ogdensburg, where she was admitted Monday.
Mrs. Wood was a therapy aide for the Department of Mental Hygiene, Wingdale, for 11 years.
Born July 21, 1947, in Burke, daughter of Benjamin and Evelyn Shanty Murcray, she married Paul Wood on Dec. 22, 1964.
Surviving besides her husband are two sons and their wives, Paul and Lisa, serving in the Marines, stationed in Japan, and Dana and Shelly, Saranac Lake; a daughter and her husband, Tina and Jeffrey Bedore, Saranac Lake; two adopted daughters, Melissa and Tiffany Wood, Potsdam; a brother and his wife, Edward and Ruth Murcray, Norwood; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Shirley Rookey, Potsdam, Beverly Newvine, Georgia, and Lynne and Lloyd Howe, Hannawa Falls; and five grandchildren.
A brother, Francis Murcray, died before her.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Buck Funeral Home, Norwood, with the Rev. Brian Kellington officiating.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
