William E. Bennett

(January 7, 1907-May 14, 1949

Funeral services for William Edward Bennett, 42, who died in St. Johns hospital Saturday where he had been a patient for two weeks, was held yesterday afternoon from the Congregational church in Norwood, with burial taking place in Riverside cemetery in Norwood.

Born in Carthage on January 7, 1907, the son of the late Minot and Elizabeth Wright Bennett. After being educated in schools in that section he moved to Norwood, and for twenty years was employed on the Norwood-St. Lawrence railroad. For the past six years he has been employed at the duPont plant in Wilmington, Del.

Ill health forced him to retire a few months ago and he returned to his home in Ogdensburg where Mrs. Bennett is teaching school.

Surviving are his wife, and one son, David, his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Bennett and aunts and uncles.
