North Stockholm--Mr. And Mrs. Dwight Walton attended funeral services for Mr. Waltons sister, Mrs. Marian E. Blanchard, 60, wife of Jesse Blanchard, Newcomb, which were held on Saturday, Oct. 14, 1972, at 11 a.m. at the home of Mrs. Blanchards daughter, Mrs. Samuel Boyce, South Colton. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Norwood.
Mrs. Blanchard died Oct. 11, in Tupper Lake General Hospital following a brief illness.
Surviving besides her husband are the daughter, Mrs. Samuel Boyce, South Colton; three sons: William, Iowa; Ray, California; and Keith, Newcomb; six grandchildren; seven sisters: Mrs. Donald (Lorena) Lindsey, Chase Mills; Mrs. Carol Phillips, Mrs. Lila McKeithurn, Gouverneur; Mrs. Verna McDonald, Mrs. Dominic (Emma) Vacarol, Watertown; Mrs. Dorothy Dahl, Spring Valley; and Mrs. Nettie Cannon, Newcomb; two brothers: Dwight Walton, North Stockholm; and William Walton, Fowler.
She was born at Childwold, August 19, 1912, daughter of Benjamin and Winifred Storrs Walton. She was married to Jesse Blanchard Sept. 23, 1933. The couple had lived in Newcomb for 25 years. Mrs. Blanchard had been employed as a chamber maid at Racquette Lake Resort.
