Bernard J. Cardinal

Norwood--Funeral services for Bernard J. Cardinal, 44, Ridge St., Norwood, were held at 11 a.m. Dec. 22, 1969 from the Buck Funeral Home, Norwood, with Rev. Marc A. Acosta, pastor of the United Church of Christ, Norwood, officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Norwood.

Mr. Cardinal died Saturday morning, Dec. 20, 1969, at the Potsdam Hospital where he had been a patient five days. He had been in failing health a year and had been hospitalized several times recently.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Constance Fuller Cardinal; three sons, Bernard, Jr., in the naval submarine service and stationed in New London, Conn.; Charles and Stephen, at home, and a sister, Mrs. James (Dorothy) Baker, Central Valley.

Mr. Cardinal was born in Norwood Dec. 9, 1925 a son of Bernard J. and Dora Reynolds Cardinal. He attended Norwood High School and was married to Miss Constance Fuller of Norwood on July 10, 1947. The couple have always resided in Norwood with the exception of a few months they lived in Ogdensburg.

He was a veteran of World War II and a member of Norwood Clark-Robinson Post 68, American Legion; What Cheer Lodge, F. & A.M. , and the Norfolk Rod and Gun Club. He was employed as a driver for the Texaco Company.
