OGDENSBURG--The funeral for Barbara A. Chase, 51, of 1424 Ford St., will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Donald Casselman officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Norwood.

Mrs. Chase died Sunday morning at her home. An autopsy was to have been performed this morning at Hepburn Medical Center.

Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Lalonde--Briggs-Frary Funeral Home, where the cast of Showtime will meet at 7:30 p.m.

Mrs. Chase was director of the Ogdensburg Knights of Columbus Showtime musical and its Christmas concert for several years. Previously, she was assistant director and then director of the children's performance.

She was a teacher's aide for the last 18 years at John F. Kennedy Elementary School, where she also was computer coordinator.

Born April 6, 1947, in Batavia, a daughter of Willis and Iris Lewis, she graduated from high school in Japan, where her father was stationed in the military.

She married Kevin Chase on Aug. 17, 1994, at Ogdensburg with the Rev. Bernard Fortune officiating.

Surviving besides her husband and parents, the Rev. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis, of Jacksonville, Fla., are two stepchildren, Joshua and Amber, both at home. and a brother, Cliff Lewis, Madison, Wis.
