Allen D. Clary

Navy Veteran

 

(February 13, 1959--April 3, 2000)

 

POTSDAM--Allen D. Clary, 41, Potsdam, died Monday at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Syracuse, where he had been a patient since February. He had been ill with diabetes.

Mr. Clary served in the Navy from 1981 to 1984.

Born Feb. 13, 1959 in Potsdam, son of Dennis and Ellen Peacock Clary, he attended St. Lawrence Central School, Brasher Falls, and was a graduate of Parishville-Hopkinton Central School. He married Bethany Daggett on June 5, 1993.

Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Crystal Baker, Norwood, and Renee Gotham, Winthrop; his mother and stepfather, Ellen and Ray Thompson, Winthrop; two brothers, Kevin Thompson, North Lawrence, and Dale Thompson, Winthrop; two sisters, Mary Jo Thompson, North Lawrence, and Lynne Wier, Berlin, Mass.; his grandparents, Ralph and Veronica Prevost, Winthrop; five grandchildren, two nieces and a nephew.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Hammill Fiuneral Home, Winthrop, with the Rev. Clark S. White, pastor of St. Patrick's Church, Brasher Falls officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Norwood.

Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
