Mrs. Eunice Babbitt Colbert, 43, wife of Kenneth Colbert, died Friday in Norwood after an illness of six months.
She was born in Childwold on Jan. 27, 1907, a daughter of Lee and Beatrice Babbitt and was married on July 5, 1930 to Kenneth Colbert, Norwood. The couple had resided in that village since their marriage.
Mrs. Colbert was a former school teacher, having taught for a number of years at the Red Brick school at Yaleville. She was also a former president of the Ladies Guild of St. Philips Episcopal church.
Surviving are her husband, her parents, and several brothers and sisters, Mrs. John (Myrtle) Davey, Norwood; Rodney and Mrs. Vernon (Martha) Mattice, Madrid; Mrs. Doran (Ethel) Martin, Norwood; Mrs. Milton (Lea) Tassno, Plattsburg; Mrs. George (Mae) Babbitt, Beaverton, Ore., and Harry Babbitt, Norwood.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Monday at the home and a half hour later in St. Philips church. Rev. Frank J. Hughes, rector, officiated and interment was in Riverside cemetery.
