POTSDAM--A memorial service for Stacey Marie Cox, 23, Jacksonville, Fla., formerly of Potsdam, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church with the Rev. Linda Harris officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Lakeshore Drive, Norwood. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with Seymour Funeral Home. Mrs. Cox was a former Watertown Daily times carrier in the Potsdam area. Born Sept. 22, 1974, in Ogdensburg, a daughter of Vincent and Sandra M. Roberts Ashley, she was a 1994 graduate of Potsdam Central School, where she was a hockey cheerleader, and took early childhood development courses at the Board of Cooperative Educational Services, Norwood. She married Jackie Guy Cox Jr. on Nov. 8, 1996, in Alabama, and had been a resident of Florida since November 1997. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Norwood. Surviving besides her husband and parents, Potsdam, are a son, Bryan M.M. Cox, now living with his grandparents in Potsdam; two brothers, Shaun M. and Shane M., and a sister, Nicole L. Ashley, all of Potsdam; her maternal grandmother, Inez M. Roberts, also of Potsdam; an uncle and an aunt.
