NORWOOD--Arthur J. Cutler, 84, a life resident of the Norwood section, died Tuesday morning, Sept. 24, 1974 at Massena Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient five days.
The funeral will be Thursday at St. Phillips Church, Rev. David Plank, rector officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
He is survived by two sons, Raymond, Canton, and Austin, Norfolk; three daughters, Mrs. Dorace (Kathleen) Day, Connecticut, Mrs. Bernard (Ada) St. Dennis, Syracuse, Mrs. Jack (Jean) Manfred, Potsdam; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a half-sister, Mrs. Ralph (Laura) Dunbar, Colton; three half-brothers, Nelson Grant, Parishville, Ronald G. Grant, Colton, and Archie Grant, Potsdam.
Born at Cardinal, Ont., a son of Austin and Elizabeth Sheets Cutler, he married Alice Bedford, a native of Peterboro, England, Nov. 30, 1912, in Trinity Church, Cornwall, Ont. She died in 1971. Mr. Cutler was employed 30 years at the Martin Pulp and Paper Co., Norwood.
