Zenia Powell Folmar

 

(1904-November 16, 1942)

 

Mrs. Zenia Powell Folmar, daughter of the late Frank Powell and Margaret Hale Powell of Norwood, died suddenly Nov. 16, at Louisville, Ky.

Mrs. Folmar was born in Norfolk, was graduated from Norwood high school in 1923, and Cornell University in 1927, taught in Long Island schools and was with the Clare Tree Major Players for a time.

She married Captain Cecil Folmar in 1935, lived in China two years where Captain Folmar was in aviation, and since has been in the Air Corps service and now at Bowman’s Field, Louisville, Ky.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon in the Congregational Church in Norwood with burial in Riverside Cemetery.

Mrs. Folmar is survived by her husband, three sons, John, 7, Rodger Lee, 5, and Raymond Hale, 2; mother, Mrs. Margaret Hale Powell; a sister Mrs. George Flint, L. I. Mrs. Earl Clark of 84 Market St., Potsdam is an aunt.
