Harold J. Haggett

NORWOOD--The funeral for Harold J. Haggett, 79, New York State Association for Retarded Citizens Housing, 24 Main St., will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Buck Funeral Home with the Rev. Linda Harris officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Mr. Haggett died Thursday evening in the emergency room at Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Potsdam.

Calling hours will be 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

He was employed on the family farm until 1985.

Born Dec. 5, 1918, in Norwood, a son of Leslie and Kathryn Bicknell Haggett, he attended Norwood country schools.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Boy Scouts of America.

Surviving are two brothers, Robert E. and Rollin R., both of Norwood.

Two brothers, Reuben and Charles, and two sisters, Marion Gaines and Dorothy LaVigne, died before him.

Donations may be made to New York State Association for Retarded Citizens, the American Diabetes Association or the United Methodist Church.
