Asa H. Hale

 

(February 2, 1814-November 20, 1898)

 

Asa H. Hale, one of the oldest and most respected citizens of Norwood, died at his residence in Norwood, Sunday evening, November 20th, 1898, of congestion of the lungs. Mr. Hale was born in Georgia, Vermont, February 2nd, 1814, and came to Norwood in 1859. Mr. Hale is father of Charles M. Hale, of Gouverneur, clerk of the Board of Supervisors, and leaves five other children. Miss Mary F., and Mrs. Frances J. Brockett, who have cared for their father in his declining years; Edward W. of New York City, and Agnes L. and Elizabeth H., teachers in New York City.
