NORWOOD--The funeral for Loretta V. Hann, 90, Highland Nursing Home, Massena, formerly of Norwood, will be at 11 a.m. today at Buck Funeral Home, Norwood, with the Rev. Thomas Jones, Pastor of the Norwood United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Mrs. Hann died Saturday afternoon in Massena Memorial Hospital.
Calling hours will be 9 to 11 a.m. today at the funeral home.
She was an elementary school teacher until her marriage and later was a substitute teacher at Norwood Elementary School for several years.
She was a member of Lyra Chapter 230, Order of the Eastern Star, the Norwood United Methodist Church, and United Methodist Women and the former Literary Club of Norwood.
Born July 26, 1912, in St. Louis, Mo., daughter of John and Bessie James Christopher, she attended Broadalbin schools and graduated from normal school in Albany. She married Richard W. Hann of Johnstown on July 31, 1944. Mr. Hann, was a principal in Norwood-Norfolk schools from 1944 until retiring as supervising principal of Norwood-Norfolk Central School in 1973. He died Sept. 17, 1992.
Surviving are a son and his wife, Richard C. and Janet, Massena, and eight grandchildren.
A son, Robert, two brothers, Victor and John Christopher, and a sister, Marjorie Coloney, died before her.
