CHASE MILLS--The funeral for Clara L. Harris, 68, of 16 Arena Drive, formerly of Norwood, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Philip's Episcopal Church, Norwood, with the Rev. Curtis Denny officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Norwood. Mrs. Harris died Thursday evening at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Dennis Wright, 489 Howardville Road, Canton. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Buck Funeral Home, Norwood. Born April 6, 1932, in Massena, daughter of Benjamin and Blanche Everett Clark, she became a homemaker. She and her husband, James Harris, had owned various restaurants, including Wimpy's, Massena, and Corky's, Brasher. Mr. Harris died Aug. 11, 1986. Mrs. Harris was a member of St. Phillip's Episcopal Church, Norwood. Surviving besides Mr. and Mrs. Wright are two sons and their wives, Jay and Sandy and Michael and Helen, all of Norwood; another daughter and her husband, Darlene and Martin French, Potsdam; two brothers, William Clark, Theresa, and Hiriam Clark, Watertown; two sisters, Margaret Westover, Pennsylvania, and Doris Burgees, Watertown, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A son, Rickie, died in 1983. A brother, Frank Clark, and three sisters, Dorothy Varley, Mildred McGuire and Myrtle Donohue, also died before her. Donations may be made to St. Lawrence Valley Hospice.
