David R. Kingsley

Electrician, taxi driver

NORWOOD--The funeral for David R. Kingsley, 66, or 199 Lakeshore Drive, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Buck Funeral Home with the Rev. Leon B. Sweeney, pastor of Knapps Station Community Church, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Mr. Kingsley died Thursday at Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Potsdam.

Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

He was an electrician at Potsdam Paper Mill, a driver for Tom’s Taxi, Massena, and a driver for meals on Wheels, Canton, for 10 years.

Born April 13, 1939, in Norwood, son of Albert and Nina Higgins Kingsley, he was a graduate of Norwood-Norfolk Central School. He married Judith Fetterly on April 30, 1960, at First Methodist Church with the Rev. Stanley E. Smith officiating.

He was a past Boy Scout leader.

Surviving besides his wife are three sons and two daughters-in-law, David R. Jr., North Bangor, Michael and Jennifer, Troy, and Bryan and Carmon, Massena; a daughter, Lisa West, Norfolk; a brother, Richard, North Carolina, and eight grandchildren.

A grandchild, a brother and a sister died before him.
