NORWOOD--Thomas N. Kingsley, 84, of 258 Albright Road, New Haven, formerly of Norwood, died Saturday at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Syracuse, where he had been a patient since March 6.
Mr. Kingsley was a mechanic and welder with Operating engineers Local 545, Syracuse, retiring Sept. 8, 1982.
Born Sept. 8, 1919, in Montgomery, Vt., son of Roy and Glenna Fletcher Kingsley, he graduated from Norwood High School. A veteran of World War II, he served in the Army from Dec. 9, 1942, to Jan. 27, 1946.
He married Marion Murray in 1949. The couple lived in Norwood until 1997, when they moved to New Haven.
Surviving besides his wife are a son and his wife, Donald and Penelope, Pulaski; a brother, Roy, Charleston, N.H., three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral and burial will be private.
There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek.
