NORWOOD--Eleanor V. "Nell" Lewis, 95, Baldwin Acres, died Sunday evening at Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Potsdam.

A homemaker, she was a member of First Congregational Church and the Order of the Eastern Star, where she was a past matron.

Born March 8, 1908, at Newton Falls, daughter of Edward and Bessie Scott Hough, she married Eugene A. Lewis on July 12, 1930, at the Methodist Episcopal Church, Malone, with the Rev. Charles E. Woodley officiating. Mr. Lewis died Feb. 20, 1976.

Surviving are a son and his wife, Edward and Susan, Charlottesville, Va., two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A brother, Wallace Hough, died while serving in the military during World War II.

A spring memorial service will be at a time to be announced at Congregational Church with the Rev. Genevieve M. Dox officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with Buck Funeral Home.

Donations may be made to First Congregational Church, Potsdam Volunteer Rescue Squad or Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley.
