NORWOOD--Funeral services for Miss Gwendolyn Long, 54, of Manlius, principal of the Manlius Elementary School and a Norwood native, were held Sunday, June 9, 1974 at 3:30 p.m. at the Newell-Tellman Funeral Home, Manlius. Graveside services were Monday, June 10 at 2 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery, Norwood. Miss Long died Thursday, June 6, 1974 in Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse, after a lingering illness. Donations may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society or to the building fund of either the Norwood or Manlius United Methodist Church. She is survived by a nephew, a niece, and cousins. Born at Norwood, ..... 16, 1919, daughter of William and Della Plumley Long, she was graduated from Norwood High School and from Potsdam State University College in 1940. She had taught grade school in the Central New York section several years. Miss Long was principal of the Manlius elementary School 17 years and supervisor two years. She had also taught at Conifer and at Scarsdale four years.
