CARTHAGE--A spring graveside service forArchie L. McGillvray, 67, of 401 State St., will be held in Riverside Cemetery, Norwood.

Mr. McGillvray was found dead on Saturday in his apartment. Death was attributed to natural causes.

There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home.

Mr. McGillvray was a a merchant seaman on the Great Lakes for many years and was later a heavy-equipment operator, working on several construction projects throughout the north country.

Born June 15, 1930, in Watertown, son of Archie L. and Nellie Senter McGillvray, Sr., he attended schools at Black River and Massena. He served in the Army from March 7, 1951 until Sept. 8, 1953.

He was a member of Hogansburg American Legion Post 1479.

Surviving are a brother, John McGillvray, Kirkville; a sister, Nellie Grunert, Croghan; a half sister, Lucille Murphy, Natural Bridge, and several nieces and nephews.

A half brother, Lyle Welch, died before him.
