George W. McNulty

(June 28, 1913-July 3, 1968)

 

Norwood--Funeral services for George W. McNulty, 55, Alcoa crane operator, were held from the Buck Funeral Home, Norwood, July 5, 1968 with Rev. M. Russell Lee, pastor of the Norwood United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, in Norwood.

 

Mr. McNulty died early Wednesday morning, July 3, 1968 at the Potsdam Hospital where he had been a patient since Sunday following a heart attach at his home, 5 New Street, Norwood.

 

Mr. McNulty is survived by his wife, Mrs. Marie McNulty, a daughter, Mrs. Fred (Marilyn) Oswald, Norwood; one son Capt. Richard McNulty, recently home from a year of duty at the 3rd Field Hospital in Saigon, Vietnam; two brothers are Francis and Bernard, both of Raymondville; three sisters, Mrs. Harold (Edna) Gore, Sackets Harbor; Mrs. Kyler (Mildred) Paul, Harrisville and Mrs. Walter (Pauline) Campbell, Raymondville.

 

Mr. McNulty was born in Raymondville June 23, 1913, a son of George and Genevieve DeRushia McNulty. He was educated in area schools and was married to Miss Marie Thrasher of Chase Mills, July 6, 1934, at the Methodist Parsonage, Norfolk.

 

The couple lived in Raymondville prior to moving to their present Norwood home about 24 years ago.

 

He was a member of the Norwood United Methodist Church and a trustee of the church and of the 25-year club.
